**Recruiting NOW for FULL-TIME Position with BENEFITS**

Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) seeks experienced and compassionate RVTs for both public and in-house medical services. Our entire staff is committed to providing the highest quality medical care to our patients and exceptional customer service to our clients. The ideal candidate is friendly, motivated and fosters a team environment. Proficiency in all aspects of technical skills- medical exams, vaccinations, x-rays, blood draws, dentals, surgery assistance and other medical protocols - as well as good communication skills, basic computer knowledge and initiative to quickly learn our systems and applications required. Individuals must understand and be compatible with Humane Society's policies and philosophy. We expect you to act in accordance with the standards and procedures established by HSSV and as governed by federal, state and local law.

PARTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduate of an AVMA accredited or California accredited RVT or VT program
• California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience as an RVT
• Pass post-offer physical, back assessment, drug screen and background check
• Ability to identify animals by breed, gender, age and health conditions
• Maintain accurate health records, manual and computer database

ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to handle sick, injured or unruly animals in a safe, humane fashion.
• Expect to work weekends. Other hours may include day and evening shifts depending on staffing needs.
